In Ireland, the Honorable Society of King’s Inns (Ireland’s oldest School of Law – established in 1541) has a long-held custom of requiring its students to dine together with barristers and judges.  During dining, they meet and come to know their present and future colleagues in the legal profession.  The tradition of dining helps develop a bond of trust and collegiality.  A mutual respect is created which links fellow students, the barrister, and the judges with and before whom, they will practice in the future.  In striving to achieve the same upper echelon of collegiality, Chicago-Kent’s Irish-American Law Student Association invites you to our Fourth Dining In to break bread and engage with Chicago-area attorneys and judges.
