2016 PUBLIC INTEREST AWARD NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

Each year, the Alumni Association celebrates alumni who devote their careers to the public good and demonstrate outstanding public service leadership. Do you know someone deserving of the Honorable Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Award, the Public Interest Partner Award or the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award? Nominate them here. All nominations are due by Friday, February 19. Awardees will be honored at the ninth annual Public Interest Awards on Thursday, April 28

Brill Professor of Law, has been named to the International Insolvency Institute, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving international cooperation in insolvencies and multinational business reorganizations and restructurings. Membership in the International Insolvency Institute is limited to the world's most experienced and respected insolvency practitioners, judges, academics, financial professionals and regulators. ABA/Hazelden release study on attorney substance use
A joint study by the American Bar Association and the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation published earlier this week reports that 21 percent of licensed, employed attorneys qualify as problem drinkers, 28 percent struggle with some level of depression and 19 percent demonstrate symptoms of anxiety. Join us for a free CLE program on these issues on February 17. Volunteer opportunity
Chicago-Kent Alumni Ambassadors work with the Office of Admissions to contact admitted students who have not yet decided to attend Chicago-Kent. Ambassadors introduce the school through the eyes of alumni and answer any questions the student might have. Jodi Caro '89 is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Ulta Beauty in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Jodi recently spoke to students at "Making the Most of It," a program designed to provide students with information on how to take advantage of opportunities presented as a part of ASCK week. Jodi 's comments featured tips on interviewing and hiring from the employer's perspective.
