Senior vice president and general counsel of Redbox
Fred Stein has been Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the entertainment retailer, Redbox, since 2007. He manages the Redbox legal team, supports distribution deals, deployment contracts and other transactions, manages intellectual property assets and litigation and is responsible for compliance. Prior to joining Redbox, Stein was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Pendum, Inc., the nation’s largest independent service provider for ATMs, cash automation and armored transport solutions, with 1,800 employees in more than 40 states. He began his career as an attorney in private practice, specializing in commercial litigation, commercial transactions, corporate matters and matters involving complex insurance coverage issues. Stein is an active member of the American Bar and DuPage County Bar Associations and participates in the ABA’s Tort & Insurance Practice Section, the ABA’s Negotiated Acquisitions Committee, Committee on Cyberspace Law and Subcommittee on Electronic Commerce. He previously served as Co-Chair of the Insurance Coverage Committee of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Section.
