Founder of one of the biggest claims and noticing agents for companies going through bankruptcy

A former corporate restructuring attorney, Jonathan Carson co-founded Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC, which provides administrative support services and technology solutions for clients’ corporate restructuring, class action and legal document support needs. Prior to establishing KCC, Carson was an attorney in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, as well as at Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl, Young & Jones, P.C. in Los Angeles. In his previous positions, he represented debtors in their restructuring efforts, including United Artists Theatre Corp., Babcock & Wilcox, Harnischfeger Industries, Inc. and Indesco International, Inc.
Carson is a frequent speaker at industry events and has presented gatherings of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He also lectures regularly at Northwestern University School of Law, the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law and Chicago-Kent. In 2010, he co-authored INSIDE THE MINDS: TRENDS IN COMMERCIAL BANKRUPTCY FILINGS and he has written articles for several legal publications, including the Chicago-Kent Law Review. In 2008, Carson was recognized as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Services category in the Greater Los Angeles Area for his entrepreneurial endeavors in developing KCC’s innovative business model and reputation for industry leadership.
