Leading Chinese banking and financial services lawyer

A lawyer in China since 1994, Zhang Derong was one of the founding partners of Zhonglun Jintong Law Firm in Beijing, one of the most prestigious law firms in China, before moving on to found Zhonglun W&D Law Firm, also in Beijing, in 2004. He has been a partner of Bright Stone Investment Management Limited, a legal advisor to the State Council’s Western Development Bureau and an advisory consultant to the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People’s Congress. He concentrates his practice in financial and legal services, corporate law and securities and has published several books and articles on such topics. Derong has also won several awards in the legal area and was named one of the “China Hot 25” lawyers by Asia Legal Business.
