Support the student trip to Dilley, Texas

In December 2014, the federal government opened the largest immigrant family detention center, the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas. The population is composed entirely of women and children and nearly all are seeking asylum.

On March 11, 2018, twelve Chicago-Kent students in our Immigration Law Society traveled to Dilley for a week to provide legal support to detainees.

In winter 2021, Chicago-Kent students plan to return for the fourth time to continue their assistance to the detained women and children. Our students' work is more important than ever, as the circumstances on the border have grown increasingly dire.

If there is a delay and the students are unable to participate in the trip due to COVID-19, all gifts will be used for the winter 2022 trip.

Consider a gift to support the travel and related costs for the students and faculty to return to Dilley this year.
