2016 Alumni awards 

Now in its 38th year, the Chicago-Kent Alumni Awards Celebration honors alumni who have made significant contributions to the law school and/or the legal community while raising money for the Chicago-Kent Alumni Board Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is awarded annually to students who display financial need and academic merit. This year, we will also be honoring two retiring faculty members for their service. Register now.



7th Annual Supreme Court IP Review

Honorable Timothy B. Dyk of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will deliver this year's conference address. Additional sessions include a special panel on Remembering Justice Scalia in IP Cases and a session reviewing Supreme Court Analytics on the Past Term. This conference is eligible for 5.5 hours of general MCLE credit in Illinois and Pennsylvania. Register now

On August 25, 2016, Illinois Tech broke ground at the site of the Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship, the first new academic building on the Meis campus in 40 years. The Kaplan Institute will serve as a one-of-a-kind hub for invention at Illinois Tech. Read more...

Mary Nicolau Smith ’85,  is a member of the Alumni Board of Directors and a repeat host of ConneCKtions @ Dinner. As a partner at Fox Rothschild, Mary advises her clients on a variety of real estate matters. Prior to entering private practice, Mary was Supervisor of the Real Estate Tax Unit in the Cook County State's Attorney’s Office.
