Nationally recognized plaintiff’s attorney who represented 9/11 first responders

Marc Bern is a senior partner with the New York law firm Napoli Bern Ripka Shkolnik LLP and has more than thirty five years of litigation experience. He has tried more than 100 cases to jury verdict and has settled hundreds of cases in excess of one million dollars for his clients. Notably, he served as Plaintiff’s Co-Liaison Counsel in the In re: World Trade Center Disaster Site Litigations and successfully negotiated a settlement for his clients in excess of $800 million. Most recently, he is representing victims of the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting in a lawsuit against the movie theater and he is representing survivors of the Costa Concordia cruise ship collision in a suit against the ship’s parent company.
Bern has served on the Board of Directors of the New York Trial Lawyers Association, has been interviewed on numerous television shows, in newspaper and magazine articles and is frequently consulted by attorneys around the country on a variety of mass tort, malpractice and liability issues. He has been designated a New York Super Lawyerevery year since 2006 and was also selected as one of “America’s Premier Lawyers” by Fortune Magazine. In 2007, he was invited to become a charter member of the Litigation Counsel of America and he was also selected one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in New York.
